¡Hola and greetings from beautiful and sunny Puerto Vallarta!

I just recently opened a new bar and restaurant in the small town of La Cruz de Loreto and as with any new business we obviously welcome all customers with the goal of making and keeping them as our regulars; but we also know that we have to win our share of the many tourists that are visiting this beautiful town.

With the majority of us having either just completed our budgets or frantically trying to finish them up and the added layer of the revenue projections and demands given to us, we really need to take into consideration the balance of investing our time, money and resources in attracting new customers versus retaining and growing our current ones.

In this week's "It's A Dirty Job" blog, Helen tackles the very sensitive – but must be discussed topic: how many businesses very often neglect their existing customers to invest and chase new ones.
